
UMBRELLA Joins Brain Awareness Week 2025: A New Era for Stroke Care in Europe
This year, UMBRELLA made its debut in the global Brain Awareness Week, partnering with Stroke Alliance For Europe (SAFE). This global initiative shines a spotlight on the vital importance of brain research, driving awareness and innovation in brain health.
UMBRELLA, co-funded by the EU’s Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) and co-led by Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) and Siemens Healthineers, aims to improve stroke patient outcomes and setting new standards in Europe, ushering a new era for stroke management. By combining cutting-edge digital technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and real-world clinical data, we strive to make a real difference in the lives of stroke patients and survivors, addressing critical gaps across the entire stroke care pathway - from emergency treatment to rehabilitation and prevention of recurrent strokes.
